Room 1 Year 4's on camp

Wow! We are so luck to be on camp at Bridge Valley this week for the Middle Syndicate Camp 2010.So many activities to do and the children are having a wonderful time! I am so proud of our Year 4 Oneders. Everyone has been brave and stayed the night after a full day of activities. We had a concert last night and these are some of the outstanding items that our Oneders performed. Kia kaha! Enjoy! Please leave us a comment too.

Room 1 as Vampire Squids?

The Masked Parade is going to take place in the 1st week of Term 4. The Senior Syndicate are going to be sea creatures from The Deep Ocean. Room 1 are going to be Vampire Squids. We need to decide how we will make our masks. What ideas do you have?

The Deep and The Dark

We are looking at My Space, Our Space and Outer Space at present. Room 1 went into the The Unknown on Thursday. It was so exciting walking into the a space in our school that we had never been into before. The Cosmodome was in Room 17 and we didn't know what it would be like. We learnt heaps from the Cosmodome visit to Nayland Primary. We have been reading about the Universe and Explorers. We are about to be learn about a space on our planet that is so massive and deep that not all of it has been explored yet. Can you guess what it is?
We will be using books and the internet to investigate and inquire about the differences and similarities that the deep ocean and outer space have. I wonder what we will find?

Room 1 are preparing for our Variety Show!

Room 1 have been working very hard this term creating their own group dances, learning their lines and songs plus acting out our wonderful item. We are only 3 days away from our dress rehearsal. Keep watching this blog to see how our performance goes. I know Room 1 are going to be amazing. Kia Kaha Oneders. You can do it, just remember to believe in yourselves! Speeches will be easy after performing in front of a large audience!

Welcome Ella!

We have a new Oneder in Room 1 this term. Welcome to Ella! We wish Britteney and Mrs Thoms all the best luck in the world with their new ventures.

Room 1 and Room 1 Maths class are lucky enough to have a new Release Teacher. We welcome Mrs Clark to Nayland Primary School too!
